First of all Hi! I'm Jordan. My wife Kate and I warmly welcome you to our little world.

We met each other walking dogs in a local park by the River Thames. That was 10 years ago (it's now 2024). Two moves later (700 miles in total) and we have found ourselves nested amongst the isolated wilderness of the far North Western Coast of the Scottish Highlands. We have 3 children, 4 dogs, sheep, chickens and last but not least our Guinea Pigs and Rabbits. Considering how quiet and peaceful it is here, we are so grateful that the energy we bring seems to be a good fit. We are both Scottish and Irish by heritage so moving here felt like coming home.

We moved to Badcall not only for us but because we felt drawn here. There is something truly magical about this land. Even when it is calm you can see and hear the Sea. The flat and still water protected by Badcall Bay and the swells and white water in Edrachillis Bay as it opens up to the Minch. The land is alive, it speaks to us through its flora and fauna, it makes us stop, listen and connect.

Having lived and worked in major cities, knowing the disconnect from nature that that can bring, we always knew if we moved somewhere like this we would want to share it with others.

That is where the idea of a retreat came to life.

Starting small we offer the two wooden built glamping pods with what we think to be some of the best views in Scotland.

We have both trained as Shamanic practitioners, Kate as a Modern Medicine Women and myself as a Shamanic Healer of the Celtic and Norse tradition. Our healing modalities are offered to everyone whether they are using our accommodation or not and only if they feel drawn to this type of ancient healing.

We also work with the land and our Sea. We use our Croft to home local sheep and any orphans from local shepherd's. If you visit from May to August you may get a chance to bottle feed the lambs with us. If you have tasted one of our eggs you'll know just how 'free range' our 'girls' are. The hens have the whole of Badcall to explore and are quite often seen pecking at broken mussel shells in the Bay.

We also offer a Traditional Celtic Hand Fastening ceremony for couples wishing to become spiritually betroved without any legal documents. This ancient practice was only superseded by the Christian version of marriage in the 17th Century and was common place and widely used by Celts all over Europe. For more information follow the link to the ‘Celtic Handfastings & Ceremonies’ page.

We have joined a voluntary citizen science survey coalition called Blue Hope Alliance. We are helping to document and protect the ecosystem in Badcall Bay by surveying the seaweed species at the waters edge and down to snorkelling depth. Seaweed is s great indicator for the state of the ecosystems within our shorelines. We will post blogs about our progress with this on the website and 'socials'.
